Missions - Carl and JoLynn Krause

JoLynn grew up at First Baptist in Bemidji, MN. During her high school years Charlie Nelson was for a time her Youth Pastor. So she has known Charlie and Coral for many years. Carl's brother, Harold, has been a missionary for around 30 years in Honduras and has known Charlie for a number of years and worked with him. Charlie managed a lot of teams coming from the states to do building etc. We brought one of those teams there and worked along side Charlie. This is where we got re-acquainted with him. When we were on a furlough, as Ukrainian missionaries, we were asked by Charlie to come to Grace Bible Chapel to be a part of a missions conference. This was when we got re-acquainted with Grace Bible Chapel. We had been there during our years at Oak Hills singing in the Oak Hills choir.

Following our time in Ukraine we were asked to come and take over the ministry of Barnabas Zentrum. It was like God just dumped this ministry that we love right in our laps. Having pastored for 25 years and served as missionaries in the Philippines and Ukraine along with taking short term trips into Central America, we felt we had the experience as missionaries and pastor to understand the difficulties that missionaries face on the field. We were counselors by training and God had put a desire in our hearts 10 years earlier that burned in our hearts to be doing just what we were invited to do, Minister to Missionaries. We love our work. It is hard work but it is one of the most rewarding we have ever had. We thank you, the people of Grace Bible Chapel, for your partnering with us in this ministry through prayer and financial support.
