The “Open Door Coat Rack”Community Coat Drive is underway, sponsored by community churches working together. You can help by checking your closets for a coat you no longer need. We are also collecting boots, snow pants, hats and mittens. Items can be put in the bins near the entrances of the church through the month of October.
In the past, there has been a shortage of snow pants and boots. Homemade things and cash donations are also welcome. Distribution will take place at the United Methodist Church on October 28, 29, 30 & November 1. Volunteers from various churches involved in this drive will be working together to distribute these items, so that everyone can be warm this winter.
PLEASE SAVE your used coats and jackets that are in good condition—Children’s sizes through Adult will be available. If you know of someone else who could benefit, please pass on the flyer from the bulletin.
Looking for more information: www.grandgrace.org
Please contact Trond Knuedgaard, Joel or Carolyn Adamson with any ideas you’d like to see on the church website. Thank You!
MAILBOXES: Please check the areas around the mailboxes in the center hallway for items that belong to you. Suggestion: If you are leaving something for someone, make sure that it is identified, and please call the intended recipient to let them know it needs to be picked up.
FYI…Cathy will be gone from the Church Office Friday, Oct. 3 through Saturday, Oct. 12, on a working vacation with a missions group to Honduras (I’d appreciate your prayers!). If you have any special needs for October 5th or 12th bulletins or other projects, please get them in as early as possible THIS WEEK. Thank you.
