God led us to this area while we were on a sabbatical from Christian camping. I e-mailed the Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA) camps in Minnesota with my resume in the fall of 2004.

Doug Payne of Miracle Bible Camp contacted me first, and I began conversations with him. I interviewed with him by phone and then in person in September and with the Miracle Bible Camp board in October. I was hired in November and started in January 2005.

The first week I was here, Doug took me around to the member churches, I quickly got to know Pastor Joel Rygh, as I was interested in seeing a good teen ministry started at Miracle Bible Camp. Grace Bible Chapel had one of the largest teen groups, so that first year, I visited the teen groups and AWANA often, trying to get a relationship going with the teens and children.

Grace Bible Chapel still remains the church sending the most campers to Miracle Bible Camp each year I have been tracking the numbers from 2005 to present.
