Missions - Jim & April Jurgensen

Jim and April Jurgensen serve as co-directors of The Boaz Project, Inc., a ministry to orphans in Russia and India. Currently, they aid approximately 700 children in 13 orphanages, providing humanitarian aid, Bible Discovery classes, baby nurturing, and tutoring through national Christians.

April founded The Boaz Project 1999. By June of 2001, Jim was working full-time for the organization. “It is all God’s doing,” they say almost in unison; “We are just blessed to get front row seats!”

While they employ Russian Christians and partner with Indian believers to do the hand-on ministry to the orphans, Jim and April oversee the U.S.-based effort of raising funds, accounting, program development, and leading short-term teams for Vacation Bible School and construction projects.

The Jurgensens were invited to visit Grace Bible Chapel through Deb Overlee, an old college friend and faithful supporter of theirs.
